New If you were Obama's economics advisor...

I am being given time to speak now by Mr. President Obama. I will be covering the issue that our economy is facing at this very moment. Millions of jobs and homes are being lost everyday; families are loosing everything they have. In order to stop this huge mess, Mr. Obama we are going to have to come together as Americans and as a family. Energy efficient homes, schools and businesses need to be built; this will help us save money for other things that are needed. "Our children still study in schools that put them at a disadvantage”, says Mr. Obama, so now our teachers need to be trained to give our children the education they deserve. We look back on the Gilded age and see the rich are getting richer and the poor getting poorer. “The period was glittering on the surface but corrupt underneath.” Says Mark Twain.

Now we need to create jobs, and fix the small things that will put us back up on our feet. We dont want to face anything near the Great Depression and we can see the way we struggled as Americans in that period of time. We look back at the wars our country has faced and we realize that is not what we want to see any longer. We will not now or never hope to see those days again. By making our economy stronger, and more efficient in more than one way, we can pull ourselves out of this mess.

Mark Twain
